Grateful for Visit to New York City

Grateful for Visit to New York City

During my recent visit to Brooklyn to spend time with my siblings, I was blessed with an unexpected opportunity. While there, I was invited to be a vendor at Here and Now, a social group gathering in Queens, New York. The event was themed Paint and Chat, and it turned into so much more than just an evening of creativity—it became a space of connection, encouragement, and community.

I was deeply grateful to showcase not only our products, but also the gifts and talents that God has placed in my hands. What made it even more meaningful was that many in attendance were longtime friends and family members who hadn’t yet seen or known much about our business. To share our work with them in that setting was nothing short of a blessing.

And just when I thought the blessing ended there, God opened yet another door. Next week, I was invited to set up and sell at another gathering. This second opportunity reminded me that when God begins to move, He doesn’t just open one door—He keeps them coming.

I am thankful to Evette, who graciously opened her home to me and my grandson, to Sharon and Enid for extending the invitation, and to my sister Monica for capturing photos that will keep these memories alive. And to all who supported us by purchasing our products—I am humbled and grateful. Each purchase felt like an act of encouragement, affirming the vision God has given us at Two Anointed Hands.

As I reflect on this visit, I am reminded of the words in Proverbs 18:16: “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”

Indeed, God continues to open doors for us in unexpected ways. What started as a family visit became an opportunity to expand the reach of our ministry through creativity. And like Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:31:

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

Every step of this journey, from handmade cards to custom designs, is an offering of worship and testimony. My heart is full of gratitude for God’s faithfulness, for family, and for every person who continues to support and believe in what we are building.

This New York trip reminded me that God has a way of weaving together ordinary moments into extraordinary testimonies. My prayer is that as we keep creating, our work will continue to inspire, uplift, and point others back to Him—the true Artist of our lives.
